Growth Groups

GROWTH GROUPS ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF ALL THAT WE DO AT BRIDGEWAY CHURCH!

The mission statement of Bridgeway Church is, “Bringing people into life-changing relationships with Jesus Christ and each other.” Alongside our mission statement, one of our core values is “Authentic Community.” This simply means that no person should have to discover and engage in his or her own journey with God alone.

Growth Groups typically consist of about 10-15 people and are a great way to meet others, make lasting friendships, grow in a relationship with God, and make a difference in the life of someone else. Growth Groups offer our best environment of ministry care, support, and connection. We encourage everyone to get involved in a Growth Group this season.

This fall season some groups will be in-building and some will be online via Zoom, for those who are not yet comfortable meeting in-person.

There are two ways you can sign up for a Growth Group:

1) You can sign up right here by scrolling below and reviewing our catalogue. Submit a form by clicking the Register link below.

2) You can also visit the Growth Group Information Table in the atrium – ask any question you may have and register there with assistance if needed.

Each group has it’s own individual “Sign Up” button. Once you have reviewed this season’s group in their entirety, simply select the group you would like to be a part of. You will be contacted by your group leader with specific details after registering or one our staff members.

Grafted In is a welcoming space for foster parents, adoptive parents, and those considering fostering to connect with one another and with the King of Kings. Guided by Reframing Foster Care by Jason Johnson, we’ll engage in meaningful, hope-filled conversations about the joys and challenges of parenting children from hard places. Our goal is to create a safe, encouraging community where we can share our stories, lift one another up in prayer, and seek God’s wisdom together. Divorce is a terrible and life changing event. Divorce Care is offered to help men and women manage the stress of divorce and to embark on a journey of healing correctly, bringing you and your decisions closer to Jesus Christ moving forward. The growth group follows a 13-week Nationally recognized curriculum that covers a variety of topics, including deep hurt, grief/depression, loneliness, forgiveness, and hope. Each session involves watching a 30-minute video followed by a group discussion. There is also the opportunity to meet others in a similar situation and to benefit from the support that comes from that community.

Welcome to our Growth Group for parents and their children with special needs. Our goal is to provide a welcoming space for families to connect and encourage one another. Meeting on the third Sunday of each month, parents and children will enjoy time side by side with a parent-led activity tailored to each child’s needs. After the activity, kids can enjoy free play or a movie, while parents engage in meaningful discussions and offer encouragement. Led by Barkley and Stephanie, parents of a 13-year-old with Autism and Epilepsy, this group provides a friendly, supportive environment for all. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Daycare is available for siblings if desired. All disabilities welcome.

This course features eight sessions of teaching, guided conversation, and spiritual exercises designed to lay a foundation for lifelong apprenticeship to Jesus. We are a group of young families that will be meeting September 7 through November 16 at Bridgeway Church with childcare provided.

The purpose of this study is to further awaken interest to this tremendously important field of Christian Apologetics. This study will point out the flaws in the various popular cult systems, and to provide the information that will enable you to both answer cultists, and to present effectively to them the claims of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Each story starts with a 21st Century contemporary situation that mirrors an event in the bible followed by the actual bible story with an accompanying study. The study is written by Liz Curtis Higgs.

We would like embark on a couples study of the book of Romans. John MacArthur’s Bible study on Romans explores the powerful themes of grace, truth, and redemption through a clear, verse-by-verse exposition of Paul’s letter. He emphasizes God’s unmerited grace, the unchanging truth of the gospel, and the redemptive work of Christ for sinners. The study highlights how believers are justified by faith and transformed by the Holy Spirit. It offers both doctrinal depth and practical application for individuals and groups seeking to live a gospel-centered life.

This group will focus on ways to proactively disciple your kids in the topics of sexuality and gender. All too often, parents address the biblical perspective of sexuality and gender after their child discloses a struggle. We need to have ongoing conversations with our kids around God's plan for sexuality and gender before they are introduced to the world's perspectives. We will watch and discuss a newly produced video series that highlights expert Christian voices in the conversation of sexuality, gender, and parenting.

Meetings at local parks will be an opportunity for parents and caregivers to connect in community while our children play. Our goal is to help both parents and littles build genuine friendships and grow in our faith together while doing so.
